Menulog is getting behind local Australian communities with the launch of a new pilot program – Community Support Act. Open to community groups, charities and sporting clubs based in regional New South Wales and Victoria, this new program will give grants to local organisations who are creating positive change in their communities, supporting changemakers who keep our suburbs and towns ticking.
Designed to fuel real impact at a grassroots level, the first round of this program will award grants starting from $2500 all the way up to $50,000 to local community groups, charities and clubs across New South Wales and Victoria.
Applications close Friday 10 October
Frequently asked questions
1. What is the Community Support Act program?
A new grassroots grant program from Menulog, aimed at funding projects that make a real difference in local communities across New South Wales and Victoria.
2. What projects are you looking to support?
We’re looking to support projects and activities from local organisations that are making a difference in ways that matter most to their community, and that support Menulog’s two core ‘giving’ pillars below:
- Community programs: supporting initiatives that drive positive social impact, inclusion, wellbeing and support for those who need it most. This can include charity programs, not-for-profit services, mental health and wellbeing initiatives, food relief and disaster relief support.
- Local sporting clubs: helping grassroots sports organisations improve participation, safety, facilities and community pride on and off the field.
3. Who is eligible to apply?
For the first round of the 2025 program, we are accepting applications for projects based in or impacting NSW and VIC. Applications can come from any community organisation or local supporting club, and the form itself should be filled out by the appropriate contact person from the organisation. If you know of an organisation that would be a great fit for the program, please encourage them to apply themselves rather than submitting an application on their behalf.
4. How can I apply?
Simply fill out this application form, which will ask you about your organisation, the project or activity you’re looking to fund, and how it aligns to our values and pillars. Shortlisted applicants will then be contacted by email to organise a time to meet and discuss this application further, so keep an eye on your inbox!
5. What can I apply for?
Community Support Act grants start at $2,500 and can come in the form of a monetary donation or Menulog vouchers, depending on what would most suit your project. For example, you may prefer Menulog vouchers to use as prizes for a fundraiser or monetary contribution to support another activity.
6. When is the application deadline?
Applications are open until all grant funds have been allocated. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible, as the application period will close once the available grants have been exhausted.
7. When will I hear back about my application?
We’ll review the applications on a rolling basis with the aim of getting back to everyone as soon as possible. You should expect an update within 2 weeks of submitting your application.
8. If my application is successful, when and how will I receive funding?
Each application may be different depending on what you require for your project or activity, so we can discuss this with successful applicants. However, due to administrative and processing time, we expect that the earliest funding will be available to organisations in September.
9. My community program or sporting club would like to be considered for a sponsorship. How can I register?
